If you are a European citizen and have entered the United Kingdom before 31 December 2020, applying under this route might still be the best option for you to live, work, study and live legally in the United Kingdom.
You can also bring your family to reside with you as long as the family relationship was formed before 31/12/2020.
You can bring: your spouse, children, step-children, parents, step-parents and grand-parents. Depending on the age, different requirements apply.
Although the deadline to apply via citizens of the European Union was until June 30, 2021, there is still the possibility of applying after this date, provided that you have reasonable grounds and have evidence to prove the fact that it was not applied within the deadline.
If you are a family member living abroad, you can apply for a Family Permit. If approved, this permit lasts for 6 months. You will need to apply to extend your visa within 90 days after entering in the UK. Your next visa will be valid for 5 years.
After 5 years, you can apply for permanent residence.
