The student visa for the United Kingdom is available to citizens of any nationality, including Brazilians. This visa allows you to study and live in the United Kingdom, and in some cases, even work. The Student Visa is a visa that is part of the Points-Based Immigration System (PBS) and can be applied by citizens of any nationality, including Brazilians. If approved, you will be able to study, live and, depending on the case, even work in the United Kingdom.

With the Student Visa, you can:

Study

If eligible, work

Use the public health system

Live in all countries of the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

In some Student Visa, your spouse and dependent children can join you.

Who can apply:

Students with an offer from an institution licensed by the government, and meet all route requirements.

Staying longer in the UK

You may be able to:

Extend your visa if you’re eligible, for example to continue your studies in the UK

Switch to a Student Visa from another visa if you’re already in the UK

Switch to a Graduate Visa to stay in the UK for at least 2 years after successfully completing your course

If your visa application is successful, your visa will be valid for the same period as your course and your family members’ visa will expire on the same date as yours.

About

There are 3 types of student visas:

Short Term (this visa is for English language courses lasting longer than 6 months and up to 11 months)

Long Term (to attend a British University)

Student Visa for children between 4 and 17 years old (to attend the equivalent of primary school in Brazil.
